URI Modern

URI Modern is a WordPress theme designed for the University of Rhode Island. It’s designed to replace all themes currently being used on the university’s websites, and unify the online brand and experience.

What’s new in 4.0

• Removes Google Tag Manager scripts

Note: Installing this version without another means of GTM or GA injection will cease all analytics tracking. Think carefully!

How do I get set up?

Typical installation

1. Grab a copy of the latest version
2. Install it into your WordPress wp-content/themes directory
3. Activate it as your site’s theme
4. Configure it with Customizer

Using Packagist

If your site is built on a composer stack, you can add the latest version by running:

composer require uriweb/uri-modern
