Genetics 220-2017 - Computational Analysis of High Throughput Biological Data
Computational Analysis of High Throughput Biological Data
This course focuses on an introduction to programming for biological
data analysis. The programming language will be Python with a large
emphasis on UNIX and command-line tools.
Some bioinformatics tools will be introduced including tools for
interacting with column-delimited data such as BED and GFF formats.
The bioinformatics tools for data analyses will include short read
sequence data analyses and alignments, SNP identification, BLAST and
basic information to examine data in R.
